Umesh Yadav doesn’t choose himself in ICC T20 World Cup squad

Umesh Yadav, the Indian fast bowler, presented a playing XI according to him for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2020. Surprisingly, Umesh has not selected himself in the squad.

He is known among the finest pacers of India. His performance in recent times in the white-ball cricket has deliberately been low. The unexpected unexceptional performance by the bowler makes him depriving himself of the playing XI for the T20 World Cup.

Umesh thinks that there will be stronger competition for the third pace between Mohammad Shami and Deepak Chahar. He also prioritized Bhuvneshwar and Bumrah in the bowling list. However, surprisingly, the paceman has not chosen any single all-rounder for the playing XI, not even Hardik Pandya.

He chose Shikar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, and Shreyas Iyer as the batsmen and on Dhoni’s scenario, he thinks that it will be up to him if he wants to play then he will.

“As for the spinners, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal. Bumrah and Bhuvi will be the fast bowlers and it will be a tough fight for the third spot between Shami and Deepak Chahar. I don’t think I am in contention for that spot,” he said while speaking to Sportskeeda in an Instagram live session.

“My T20 XI would have Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, and Shreyas Iyer as the batsmen.

“Then, you have MS Dhoni Bhai. Abhi kya bol sakte hai, unki marzi rahegi toh wo khelenge [We can’t say anything now. If MS Dhoni wants to play for India, he will play]. If MS Dhoni Bhai does not play, then Rishabh Pant,” Umesh Yadav further added.
