If he wants, he will play: Umesh Yadav on MS Dhoni

Umesh Yadav, the Indian bowler, thinks that one shall not talk about the retirement of MS Dhoni as it is too early to say anything and if he wants, he will play.

Umesh Yadav: If MS Dhoni wants to play, he will

“My T20 XI would have Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer as the batsmen. Then, you have MS Dhoni bhai. Abhi kya bol sakte hai, unki marzi rahegi toh wo khelenge [We can’t say anything now. If MS Dhoni wants to play for India, he will play]. If MS Dhoni bhai does not play, then Rishabh Pant,” Umesh was quoted as saying in an Instagram Live with Sportskeeda.

MS Dhoni has not been the part of India Cricket Team since India’s semifinals against New Zealand in 2019. People think Dhoni, after being absent from cricket for so long, would have lost grip on his fitness level hence, he shall not play and retire. MS Dhoni is a cricketer who has served India with dignity and deserves a heartwrenching goodbye.

However, Dhoni’s plan was to make comeback to the national squad after giving a bombastic performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He was seen practicing net sessions to serves his franchise, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as a skipper. People think that BCCI has already fulfilled Dhoni’s place choosing two youngsters, Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul who have performed consistently well.

Umesh Yadav, on the other hand, thinks that it is totally up to Dhoni and says if he wants he will play and it will be too early to talk about his retirement.
