The former Pakistani cricketer, Mohammad Yusuf has made comparisons between Virat Kohli and Babar Azam and has ended up choosing Pakistan’s Azam as the better one.
Speaking to the journalists, he said that although Kohli has played more matches than Pakistan’s Azam who has three-four years of experience, Babar has been outstanding.
Another comparison between Babar Azam and Virat Kohli, Mohammad Yusuf speaks this time
“Kohli has played much more cricket than Babar who has only about three to four years of exposure in international cricket. But yes, if you ask me to make a comparison based on where Kohli stood after the same number of matches that Babar has played, I would say Babar has done better,” Yousuf said to Press Trust of India.
Speaking of Kohli’s consistency, Yusuf added that the Indian skipper is committed to his passion which has made him a run-machine in all three-formats across all playing nations. He believes that captaincy has made Kohli a better player.
“Kohli is very committed that is why he is so successful and he has already got runs in every cricket playing nation. I felt captaincy had only made him a better player, Yousuf added.
Notably, such comparisons are so often made. Earlier, Babar also urged people to stop comparing him with India’s star batsman and captain, Virat Kohli. “Don’t compare me with Virat Kohli because he is a player of a different class,” he said. “I try to perform well in my own way,” added the prolific right-hander.
