The Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) has named Rohit Sharma as a replacement for Virat Kohli for the second and third test against Australia as Kohli will be returning to India after getting featured in the first test match.
Sharma, who could not captain his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Mumbai Indians (MI) for four matches amidst his hamstring injury, is given fitness clearance officially. Earlier, he was not included in the squad considering his injury but after he has led MI in qualifier 1, he is all set to represent Men in Blue.

However, he is still not chosen for the ODIs and T20Is against Australia. On the other hand, dad to be Kohli will be busy with the birth of his first child in January 2021.
