MS Dhoni, the well-known and humble Indian International cricketer has earned his name overall the world by his desired passion and deliverance on the grounds. He is the only captain to win the titles of all ICC trophies. The wicket-keeping batsman has recently been in the news over his retirement topic although he has not denounced the retirement yet.
Dhoni last played for the Indian side in ICC World Cup 2019. Since then, he hasn’t been seen in the ground and many Indian cricketing bodies don’t think that he shall play again or he will play again. Dhoni, being a legendary cricketer, however, deserves a heart wrenching and welcoming good-bye if he retires.
Although he was seen practicing in the nets for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Chennai Super Kings unfortunately, the thirteenth season of the cash-rich league has been postponed until further notice due to Coronavirus outbreak.
Ashish Nehra, the former Indian bowler, does not think that MS Dhoni will be playing for the Indian Cricket Team again even if the lockdown pandemic settles. Although Ashish preferred Dhoni as the first choice for wicket-keeping still he says that there are very minor chances of his comeback to the team.
“Look, if MS wants to play and is fit, he is still my No. 1 choice for the wicketkeeper’s slot. Knowing MS, I don’t think he will play again for India, but you never know he can still spring another surprise. Yes, that he has not announced his retirement is a different issue. But that’s his way of dealing with the situation,” Nehra was quoted as saying in The Telegraph.
However, a few cricketers have also supported Dhoni’s comeback and said that it is totally his choice whether to retire as he has got much more to serve his beloved nation.
