Harbhajan Singh, the veteran leg-spinner, is likely to miss the thirteenth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) after he has found the illness level caused by the COVID-19 of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

Almost thirteen people from a single franchise have been tested COVID-19 positive which is an alarming sign for the health concerns and also for the side itself falling short of players. After Raina has returned home for personal reasons, Harbhajan Singh concludes an important part of the side and his departure might be troubling for the Yellow Army.

One of his closely related revealed he prefers his health over playing the game and the worsened conditions have disturbed him. It is to be noted that the spinner has not joined the team yet and he was also not the part of the training camps amidst reaching the destination late.

“Harbhajan is due to join the team on Tuesday. But the situation with Chennai Super Kings currently has left him very worried. He may rejig his schedules or even decide to skip the IPL this year,” a source close to Harbhajan Singh said.

On the contrary, the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) is looking for every possible way not to give up on the commencing league. They want to hold it by any means which is crystal clear from many of the statements. Also, there is a fuming debate concluded from the reports between the franchises and the board.

On the other hand, one of the social activists, seeking the condition, has written five pages long letter to the relevant bodies for scrapping up the league and be feared of COVID-19 circumstances along with consequences.
