After the fifteenth case has been reported across the franchises of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Delhi Capitals have become the third franchise to hold the COVID-19 positive case. Earlier, as many as thirteen cases were spotted from the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) that was shocking enough to digest a vast number of cases at once of the same camp. Later, the fourteenth case got spotted from Rajhastan Royals, as their fielding coach caught the symptoms.

To keep him in the open air, even in a bio-secure bubble with other players, might have been hazardous. Hence, it was pretty sensible to isolate him at the moment to avoid further spread.
Delhi Capitals become the third franchise to witness COVID-19 positive case
An official of the franchise has revealed that he was yet to join the squad and has not been in contact with any of the participants. Before featuring in the thirteenth season of the IPL, he will have to test COVID-19 negative twice after 14 days of self-isolation.
“He was yet to meet with, and had not been in contact with any players or staff of the franchise,” the statement said.
“He was isolated immediately, and is currently at the IPL Isolation Facility in Dubai for the next 14 days, at the end of which he will have to produce two negative reports for him to be able to join the Delhi Capitals squad. The franchise’s medical team is in constant touch with him, and wishes him a speedy recovery,” the franchise further said.
