What a magnificent win by the Kings XI Punjab… Hats off to the skipper KL Rahul who commanded his team with a strike back after losing in their inaugural match. The players were active and performed in all three departments; batting, bowling, fielding.

The major credit belongs to Rahul as after the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) won the toss and decided to bowl first, Kings utilized the batting-supportive pitch and scored 206 losing only three wickets. The skipper scored 132 (69) and caught all attention to him after the saddening news of Dean Jones’s death.

Mayank Agarwal, Nicholas Pooran, and Karun Nair added 26 (20), 17 (18), and 15 (8) respectively to give a might chase to Virat Kohli’s side.

RCB, who won their first match of the IPL 2020, were overwhelmed by their first win, and as predicted by TheSportsMag, the side lost.

Rahul’s men, who were disappointed after losing against Delhi Capitals (DC) in their first match, recollected their confidence and bounced back to grab this win. However, the game against DC could have been theirs either as the wrong short-run call by the on-field umpire turned the game.

RCB, on the other hand, were dragged by the miserable captaincy. Kohli has failed to score runs as in the first match of the red army, he failed to score big and got out against KXIP on 1 (5).

None of the batsmen could hit for more than 30 (27) that are in the name of Washington Sundar. Falling shorts of wickets, they were restricted in 17 overs on the lowest total of 109 runs.

Ashwin and Bishnoi grabbed three wickets each. Whereas, Cotrell got two and one for Shami and Maxwell each. It could be termed as the thrilling match of IPL 2020 yet as the most loved site lost again the youngest skipper.
