Pakistan have the rights to host Asia Cup 2022, says Wasim Khan

In the mid of 2020, the Asia Cup 2020’s future was in jeopardy that got canceled following the cancelation of the ICC T20 World Cup giving a vacant full window to the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020).

The ACC tournament has now been shifted to 2021. Originally, Pakistan had the rights to host which were shifted to Sri Lanka amidst some issues. Hence, the Asia Cup 2021 is to be host in the island country.

Wasim Khan, the CEO of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has cleared the rights that Pakistan owe to host the Asia Cup 2022.

“The next Asia Cup will be hosted in Sri Lanka in June and we have got hosting rights now for the 2022 Asia Cup,” Khan was quoted as saying in Times Now.
