KXIP vs RR: The match ninth of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) played between the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and the Rajasthan Royals (RR) has been incredibly impressive. The two sides were not in favor of giving up and both tried to do their best but the luck laid with the Royals as they chased the massive score.
After winning the toss, the RR decided to bowl first. KXIP, holding a professional batting line-up, smashed a target of 224 for them to chase up. Impressively, they lost only two wickets in the tenure.
As predicted by TheSportsMag, Mayank Agarwal, KL Rahul opened and added a huge partnership by scoring 106 (50) and 69 (54) respectively.
RR’s bowlers were not incredible as Ankit Rajpoot and Tom Curran grabbed one wicket each, however, the Men in Pink showed some real talent with the bat.
Jos Buttler, who was called to open for RR, was caught by Cottrell on 4 (7). Later, Smith added 50 off 27 balls. Sanju Samson was unstoppable as he hit 85 off 42 and received a deserving match of the man award as well. There were three fifties by RR’s batting lads as Rahul Tewatia commenced with his 31 balls 53.
The side chased down the target and saved three balls. Despite losing six wickets, they did not let their confidence down.

Rahul’s bowler tried their best to collapse the opponent’s batting as Mohammad Shami picked three wickets and Cotrell grabbed one. Cotrell was less impressive conceding an economy of 17.33 in just three overs. Murugan and Neeshan picked one each and Maxwell, Bishnoi remained wicketless.
