KL Rahul, the skipper of the Kings XI Punjab, currently ranks second on the Orange Caps list of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He eyes on the first spot occupied by KXIP’s opener, Mayank Agarwal, and says that he will take the cap from him soon.
The opening duo of Rahul and Agarwal is terrific as they both have registered a fifty and a hundred in the ongoing season of the cash-rich league. The side has only once failed to inspire at the top-order and it was when the opening pair collapsed earlier. However, they have lost three out of four matches but still, there batting is incredible to witness. On behalf of their opening, they seem to be in the playoffs.
In a post-match conference, Rahul was spotted saying that it is glad to have the Orange Cap with KXIP (Agarwal) and he is looking forward to taking it away from his fellow.

“Until and unless that orange cap stays with Kings XI, I’m happy. He’s (Agarwal) worked very hard and deserves that cap. I’m sure I’ll take it off him soon,” said Rahul as quoted by Times Now.
On the other hand, Agarwal added that it does not matter for him whoever is the cap holder but the run-scoring for the team matters.
“We are not competing for the cap, we are just looking to play some good cricket. It doesn’t matter who gets the runs, be it Rahul, Maxwell, Pooran, or anyone else.” Agarwal said.
