Dean Jones shocked at Amir, Wahab, and Hassan’s exclusion from central contracts

Dean Jones, who is collaborating with the hundred of T20 leagues around the world, has been shocked after he saw that there is no Amir, no Wahab, and no Hassan Ali in the renewed central contract list for 2020-21 disclosed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) today.

Dean Jones has presented his shock form after listening to the news that the trio of three pacers has been moved out of the list just a few months before the World Cup. “With 2 x T20 World Cups in a short time? Bizarre!” Dean Jones tweeted.

Hassan Ali was not part of any form of the game for more than a year as he was going through his back injury. Whereas, Amir and Wahab took early retirements from the red-ball cricket to focus more on the leagues and shorter formats. This decision upset the nation and management. However, they still believe that they will be contributing positively to Pakistan’s cricket.

“The selectors have made the tough decisions to leave out Amir, Hasan, and Wahab but considering Hasan missed most of the season due to an injury and Amir and Wahab decided to focus on white-ball cricket, this was the right move,” PCB’s official in a statement released by the PCB.

“Amir and Wahab are senior and experienced bowlers and they remain in contention as we believe they can still contribute to the Pakistan men’s cricket team and also mentor our young battery of fast bowlers,” he added.

On the contrary, the board has chosen Babar Azam as the skipper of ODI format. He already was the leader of T20 but he has now been given command of an additional duty. Along with it, Babar is now one of the three members to occur in category A of the centrally contracted players list.
