Delhi Capitals (DC) leg-spinner, Amit Mishra has been ruled out for the entire Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) as he suffered a finger injury in the Capitals’ last encounter held against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

DC, who are suffering a big loss, will be looking for alternatives and the reports declare that Mishra has already signed replacements with Jason Roy, Chris Woakes, Anrich Nortje, and Daniel Sams. The player was initially removed from the playing XI but was brought back as Ravichandran Ashwin suffered an injury. After the off-spinner was able to get featured in the game, DC decided to retain Mishra in place of Axar Patel who is doing a splendid job in IPL 2020.

After scans for the tendon injury were disclosed, an official of the franchise conveyed the news saying:

“The reports have come in and it is bad news. He will be unavailable for the rest of the season and we will need to look at a replacement. But the worst part is that he was looking in a great rhythm and was bowling really well.”

“His experience was something that was not just helping him in the middle on these UAE wickets, but also the young spinners in the team.”

On the other hand, the Sun Risers Hyderabad (SRH) will be suffering from a similar expense as Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been ruled out of the team for the entire version of the cash-rich T20 league.

Undoubtedly, he is an on-field commander and best of the pacers that SRH currently have. It must be a big loss for them to lose their experience pace. However, they have multiple options that can fit in the squad and the playing XI but none of them compare to Bhuvneshwar’s experience. Notably, he has grabbed three wickets in four matches at a T20 friendly economy rate of 6.98.
