Abdul Razzaq thinks, ‘India lost deliberately to England in World Cup 2019’

The excerpts from Ben Stokes’ book have been highly misunderstood as Pakistanis have thought that Ben mentioned India’s conspiracy against Pakistan in ICC World Cup 2019.

Although, Ben has denied that he has nowhere written such statements but few Pakistanis have stuck to it.

Abdul Razzaq, the former Pakistani cricketer is one of those Pakistanis who have supported Ben’s never existing statements and believing India’s lost as deliberate against England and Dhoni got no intention to play match-winning knocks.

Earlier, Ben Stokes wrote in his book that Dhoni played a strange inning and focused more on singles when his needed boundaries. People from Pakistan have negatively focused on it and think that India lost deliberately to England to kick Pakistan off from the tournament.

“MS Dhoni showed no intent to win the game against us, Arguably the way MS Dhoni played when he came in with 112 runs needed from 11 overs was even stranger. He appeared more intent on singles than sixes. Even with a dozen balls remaining, India could still have won,” Ben Stokes writes in his book.

Abdul Razzaq thinks, ‘India lost deliberately to England in World Cup 2019’

Abdul Razzaq thinks that in the ICC World Cup 2019, MS Dhoni could have gone for fours and sixes, but he blocked the ways intentionally in order to block the ways to win. It is to be noted that if India had won, Pakistan could have qualified for the semifinals but they lost to England.

“Ismein shaq ki baat hi koi nahi. Humne uss waqt hi bola tha. Saare log keh rahe hain, jitne cricketers hain sab keh rahe. Ek aadmi chakka maar sakta hai, chauka maar sakta hai lekin phir bhi woh rokh raha hai…Toh pata toh chal jaata hai na.” Abdul Razzaq told ARY Sports, clearly pointing out at MS Dhoni, who played a knock of 42 runs from 31 balls in that match.

There is no doubt in this. I had told this at that time as well. In fact, everyone else opined the same. For a person who can hit fours and sixes at will, he was blocking everything…Hence, one tends to know”. Translated.
