Jasprit Bumrah has surpassed Kagiso Rabada in the Purple Caps list of the thirteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020). Having 27 wickets to his name, he has left Rabada in the second spot with 25 wickets. Booking the first place, the toe-crusher grasped four wickets in the Qualifier 1 played against the Delhi Capitals (DC) on Thursday that helped the Mumbai Indians (MI) to become the first qualifying team of IPL 2020.

Four wicket haul conceding 14 runs has become his best bowling stat of the ongoing season so far. However, DC are yet to play qualifier 2 – who knows what Rabada will be up to?

For the reason Bumrah has been outstanding for MI throughout the season, the bowling coach of the IPL’s most successful franchise, Shane Bond has termed Jasprit Bumrah as the best T20 fast bowler in the world.

He also lauded Trent Boult with praise and said he is loving working with the bowler since 2012. Defining his mate’s abilities, he said that he already knew what Trent could do for the Indians.

“I’ve loved working with Trent since 2012. We’ve seen him at his very best, and I was very excited to have him on our team. Because I know that what a devastating bowler he can be, and he has done that through this tournament for us.”
