Another match and another unpleasing performance by the skipper Virat Kohli. The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are still waiting for an impressive knock by their captain. As it has been three matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020), Kohli’s scores are 14 (13), 1 (5), and 3 (11) respectively against the Sun Risers Hyderabad (SRH), Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), and the Mumbai Indians (MI).
Today, MI vs RCB, that is going on at the Dubai International Stadium, masses awaited a big score from Kohli as he is known for his consistency. One cannot expect three consecutive failures from an aggressive skipper. Also, he has failed to clinch the IPL title for his team and is yet to have an upper hand on the trophy.
Another dissatisfying performance from Kohli: Scored only 3 off 11
The criticism is justified as his fans following wishes to see their men on the crease with the balance that has been out of form. He reformulated the order as he batted on number four against KXIP. Batting at three has not worked either as Rahul Chahar grabbed him on just three runs. It must be a mega blow to RCB as well as they were expecting some runs from him.
However, Aaron Finch played his incredible inning scoring 52 off 35 but Trent Boult was a lucky lad to get him. The big score now depends on Devdutt Padikkal and De Villiers who are going fine at the moment.
