Delhi Capitals (DC), is all set to rock the venues by 20th September. They will be seen in action against Kings XI Punjab under their skipper’s command, Shreyas Iyer. The side has not grabbed a win since IPL‘s first season, however, look at their schedule and squad below – they seem ready to hit the big title.
They have some big names like Shane Watson, Alex Carey, Kagiso Rabada, and Marcus Stoinis. The foreign stars can help DC to clinch a big and deserving hit in the season. However, the owner, who has some conversations with Ricky Ponting, added that he will consider himself a failure if his side will not make it till the playoffs.
Delhi Capitals owner: If we don’t qualify, I will be a failure
“Ricky and I had a long discussion about three weeks ago about the targets for this season. We have set ourselves the goal of making it to the playoffs. I personally feel that if Delhi Capitals does not make it to the playoffs, then I as an owner and the chairman of the franchise have failed,” he said while speaking to ESPNCricinfo.
