Here is why Navdeep Saini might miss RCB’s next encounter

Navdeep Saini, the major bowler of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), is likely to miss out on his team’s next encounter after he faced a split webbing on his bowling hand. In an interview, the official of the medical team stated about his injury.

According to him, he is not sure whether Navdeep might be able to make it to the next game or will need more rest. Although the surgeon stitched the split finely but being his bowling hand injured, it might take days to settle. He further hoped that the leading pacer might play the game.

He sustained the injury on the last ball of the 18th over when he bowled to MS Dhoni and was trying to field a robust shot. He was told to quit the field at the moment and was sidelined with some immediate treatments.

“Saini split his webbing in the last ball. He obviously got hit on the right thumb. Fortunately, we had a good hand surgeon who stitched it up nicely. We will monitor him overnight and check whether he can ready for the next match. I cannot be sure when he will be good to go, but hopefully, he will play the next match,” the physio said.

“It’s also because Saini’s injury is on his bowling hand, so it puts a lot of pressure on him. I cannot be sure when he will be good to go. I am hoping that he will be good to play in the next game and the rest of the tournament,” Speechly continued.

The player himself is doubtful for the RCB’s upcoming encounter against the Mumbai Indians (MI) to be played on 28th October. His absence might make a big difference as the Red Army will go on missing their leading pacer.
