The last league match of the thirteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) is continuing between the Sun Risers Hyderabad (SRH) and the Mumbai Indians (MI). The cash-rich T20 league is at its termination stages and will be remaining with the playoffs and the final.
MI, who are already qualified, are building the target as SRH after winning the toss, decided to bowl first. The Risers are struggling to keep their four notch constant that will be leading them to the playoffs.
In case they lose the game, they will be out of the tournament, and the net run rate of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will be higher than that of them, qualifying the Riders for the playoffs to be played against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Friday.
SRH’s journey was decent throughout the tournament as people believed that the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) would be another qualifier. Despite their consecutive defeats, in the end, they refrained in the hands of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), who finished in style with two back-to-back wins even though they were no more part of the league ending on the last spot.
What will happen if SRH will lose tonight?
However, the first playoffs is to be played between the Delhi Capitals and the Mumbai Indians on Thursday at Dubai International Stadium, Dubai. In case, if the MI lose, they will have another chance to get featured in the final as they can try their luck in the last playoff.
