The three former Indian cricketers, Aakash Chopra, Sanjay Manjrekar, and Ajit Agarkar was quoted as choosing their favorite and better skipper for the Indian Premier League (IPL). The choice was given between Mumbai Indian’s (MI) Rohit Sharma and Chennai Super Kings’s (CSK) MS Dhoni. The trio made different choices.
Manjrekar believes when it comes to IPL, the veteran Dhoni is a challenger and preferred the retired cricketer over Sharma. Chopra also selected Dhoni on behalf of his experience whereas, Agarkar was tucked in between and had to go with both the skippers.
Notably, Dhoni is leading his side, CSK, from the inaugural season of the league and has won the most number of matches (105 out of 175) that are most by any skipper in the league’s history. Rohit, on the other hand, has won 60 out of 105 matches and the win percentage for MI and CSK skippers are 60.34 and 58.09 respectively.

“Both Rohit and Dhoni have had good teams to lead,” Agarkar said.
“Rohit is like a challenger to Dhoni when it comes to the IPL,” Manjrekar mentioned.
