The thirteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) has finally been winded up declaring the Mumbai Indians (MI) as the winners. Luckily, Rohit Sharma-led side has won their fifth title – most by any franchise and most by any skipper.
However, the Delhi Capitals (DC) remained outstanding throughout the tournament despite a few devastating losses. People wished to see a new winner this time but all credits to Sharma’s captaincy whose team rarely losses in IPL.
IPL 2020: KL Rahul becomes the fourth Indian for holding the Orange Cap
The players struggled and competed with each other to grab the Orange Caps and Purple Caps. Talking about the Orange Caps, no one has beaten the class of KL Rahul of the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) who has scored 670 runs in 14 matches.
Grabbing the orange cap, he has become the fourth Indian with the title as the remaining nine caps are the belongings of the foreigner cricketers. The other three cricketers are Sachin Tendulkar, Robin Uthappa, and Virat Kohli respectively.
A big thank you to all the supporters. Winning the orange cap feels nice, but it would’ve been nicer if we had gone further in the tournament. However, I got to learn a lot about being a leader this tournament” Rahul said.
On the other hand, Kagiso Rabada has ended with thirty wickets which have made him the Purple Cap holder for IPL 2020.
