The entire Cricket South Africa Board (CSA) has resigned after it is going to be the government’s interim hold and the board will co-operate in an investigation for an ongoing claim against it.
The group of the board, members, the acting president resigned during Sunday’s meeting whereas the rest of the important persons resigned on Monday.
Three board members will stay in their roles temporarily “to ensure the continuity and stability of the organization,” CSA said.
The National Olympic Committee and the South Africa sports ministry are to join forces to investigate the misconduct within the sports governing national body. However, the duration for the new board to originate and implement their rule is not clear yet.

The decision has been taken in the best interest of South Africa cricket as the country is scheduled to tour different countries for the bilateral series.
“After the Members’ Council had deliberated and resolved that in order to best serve the interest of cricket in South Africa, the entire Board should resign – which they did. All Independent and Non-Independent Directors have now resigned. Following the Members’ Council meeting held yesterday, 25 October 2020, the Members’ Council received and accepted resignations from Board members,” CSA stated in a Twitter statement today.
