The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will announce its renewed central contracts on Tuesday. As denounced by the PCB, the head coach-cum chief selector has handed over his prescriptions to Ehsan Mani for approval.
In 2020-2021, only 20-21 players will be getting contracts in to be announced renewed central contracts. The central contracts will be expiring on June 30 and new contracts will come into effect on July 31.
Experienced pacers, Mohammad Amir and Wahab Riaz are to lose their central contracts and will be dropped from renewed central contracts to be announced on Tuesday. Affected by fitness issues, Hassan Ali, the right-handed medium pacer is also to lose his contract.

Furthermore, the test captain, Azhar Ali, is to be promoted to the category ‘A’, however, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Musa, and Mohammad Husnain, all the three pacers will be the part of the central contracts for the first time in the history of international cricket.
PCB also denounced that Sarfaraz Ahmed will be dropped to the category ‘C’ from the category ‘A’.
“Sarfaraz has been demoted to Category C in the new contracts as he is presently not a member of the playing side,” a PCB source said to PTI.

However, the board has also denounced to financially support their first-class cricketers and staff to run their families amidst the Coronavirus outbreak.
“It was the right time to support cricketers, match officials, scorers, and grounds staff in this hour of need. It is also heartening to see our cricketers coming out and supporting the people in need by auctioning their prized possessions and through various charities,” said Ehsan Mani while announcing financial help for such players.
“I want to applaud and appreciate Shahid Afridi, Rumman Raees, and Azhar Ali, who have been at the forefront of this noble cause and have been doing outstanding work.
