On the one hand, out of eight, the seven teams of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) have started their journey in the world’s cash richest T20 contest. On the other hand, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are the only side remaining to get featured in their inaugural match.
Dinesh Karthik’s men are all set to encounter the first counter of the IPL 2020 that will be played against Mumbai Indians on 23rd September at Abu Dhabi. Currently, MI are the most successful IPL side with four titles and they will give a massive challenge to KKR by their experience. Also, as Rohit Sharma’s side lost to the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the first match of the league, so they will look for every trick to grind KKR smashing them with a defeat.
However, before the contest has started, UAE have welcomed KKR in a grand way. Burj Khalifa, which is the world’s biggest and tallest structure, has lightened up in purple colors along with displaying the players’ pictures on it.
