Brian Lara: Something is happening in KKR’s camp that is not right

Two times champions of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are extremely worst in their form as they have failed to clinch the desires in almost all of the matches. Currently, ranking fourth on the points table, they have managed to win four out of eight games and one expects something more than this from one of the top franchises.

Their last defeat that came against the Mumbai Indians (MI), holds a mega margin as Rohit Sharma’s men clinched the victory by eight wickets. Also, in their second last encounter that happened against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), the men in purple were thrashed by 82 runs. People expect goodness in the ongoing match that is being played against the Sun Risers Hyderabad (SRH).

As a consequence, Brian Lara sees their defeat as pathetic as they swiped the captaincy from Dinesh Karthik to England’s Eoin Morgan. The former cricketer added that anyone can command the team and there is no fault in their captaincy. He believes that KKR should try Sunil Narine who is a classic player from West Indies and can help them to win matches.

Brian Lara: Something wrong is happening in KKR’s camp

“Captaincy was never a problem for KKR. Sunil Narine won them a couple of matches with his bowling while defending a total so he needs to get that (his action) sorted out,” Lara said on Star Sports.

“Andre Russell needs to get runs, anybody can captain a team. I think they have put more pressure on themselves now, the camera is on them, they’ve had a change of captain, something is happening in the camp which is not right. That’s just the worst defeat for KKR that I’ve seen,” Lara added.
